Dragon Kids School training for professionals

The Dragon Kids School training program is designed to train competent, passionate leaders to provide children with fun, educational after-school activities in an international environment. This comprehensive and immersive training program enables professionals to develop the skills needed to create a stimulating and enriching learning environment.

The course covers various aspects of teaching and animation, focusing on the following key areas:

  • Languages: Facilitators learn how to facilitate foreign language learning in a fun and interactive way. They are trained to use language immersion methods and to create activities adapted to each skill level.

  • Science: Our animators acquire knowledge and skills in the fields of science and discovery. They are trained to propose captivating scientific experiments and to encourage children’s curiosity and exploration.

  • Artistic activities: Play leaders learn to encourage children’s creativity and artistic expression. They are trained in activities such as painting, drawing, sculpture, theater and other art forms.

  • Music: Play leaders discover the importance of music in children’s development. They are trained to offer a variety of musical activities, such as singing, dancing and learning to play musical instruments.

  • Sports: Play leaders are trained to offer a variety of age-appropriate sports and physical activities. They learn to encourage cooperation, friendly competition and the values of fair play.

Training in the Dragon Kids School method also emphasizes immersion in the foreign culture and language. Leaders learn how to integrate cultural elements into activities and create an environment conducive to learning and appreciation of different cultures.

After completing this training, animators will be ready to offer high-quality, stimulating and fun activities to children. They will be able to create an international environment that fosters children’s learning, growth and open-mindedness, while helping them to develop their linguistic, scientific, artistic and sporting skills.

The Dragon Kids School method offers a holistic approach to after-school education, where learning and fun go hand in hand.

Module 1: Introduction to the Dragon Kids School method (8 hours)

Presentation of the Dragon Kids School philosophy and objectives.

Understanding of the pedagogical approach based on fun and interactive learning.

Introduction to language and cultural immersion.

Facilitation and group management techniques.

Strategies for inclusion and engagement of all children.

Examples of activities and games to stimulate learning and creativity.

Module 2: Languages, Science, Art, Music, Sports (8 hours)

  • Deepening of foreign language teaching methods in a fun and interactive way.
  • Exploration of cultural immersion to enable children to discover different cultures and traditions.
  • Techniques for teaching pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar in a fun and engaging way.
  • Creation of language learning activities based on games, songs and stories.
  • Use of age-appropriate teaching resources to reinforce language skills.

  • Exploration of age-appropriate science activities.
  • Techniques to encourage scientific curiosity and problem-solving.

  • Discovering artistic activities that encourage creative expression in children.
  • Introduction to different artistic mediums and learning basic techniques.
  • Integration of language, science and art activities in interdisciplinary projects.

  • Importance of music in children’s development and different musical approaches.
  • Introduction to musical activities such as singing, dancing and creating simple instruments.

Module 3: Practice (8 hours)

This module focuses on the practical skills needed to successfully plan, organize and execute an educational extracurricular activity session. Participants will learn best practices for providing engaging and stimulating experiences for children.

  1. Identifying educational objectives: Participants will learn how to define clear learning objectives and align them with children’s skills and interests. They will understand how to create activities that foster children’s intellectual, social and emotional development.

  2. Planning the activity session: Participants will discover the essential steps in planning, including identifying the necessary resources, creating a timetable, selecting activities suited to children’s ages and interests, and setting up a safe and stimulating learning environment.

  3. Organizing resources: Participants will learn how to select and prepare the resources needed for each activity, whether scientific materials, musical instruments, artistic tools or sports equipment. They will also discover how to effectively organize resources to facilitate their use during the session.

  4. Session facilitation: Participants will acquire skills in facilitation and group management, encouraging children’s involvement and active participation. They will learn techniques for maintaining attention, fostering collaboration, resolving potential conflicts and creating a positive atmosphere conducive to learning and growth.

  5. Evaluation and feedback: Participants will discover the importance of continuous evaluation in the learning process. They will learn how to observe children’s progress, provide constructive feedback and adjust their teaching approaches accordingly. They will also understand how to involve children in evaluating their own learning.

  6. Dealing with unforeseen situations: Participants will be trained to deal with unforeseen situations, such as changes in plans, technical problems or children’s specific needs. They will learn to be flexible and responsive in adapting to changing circumstances while maintaining a positive and inclusive environment.

At the end of this module, participants will be equipped with the skills needed to plan and organize educational after-school sessions in a positive and inclusive manner.

Training duration 24h, i.e. 3 modules of 8h each.

Fee: 750.00 Euros.

Each module will include a combination of theoretical presentations, practical activities, group discussions and team work. Participants will also have the opportunity to share their experiences, ask questions and exchange ideas with the trainers and other participants.

This 24-hour training course will provide professionals with the knowledge, skills and tools they need to successfully implement the Dragon Kids School method and offer high-quality, educational and fun after-school activities to children in an international environment.

Distance learning: 100% online training

Face-to-face: training in the presence of trainees at the training venue

Initial assessment

Course follow-up, role-playing exercises, training courses, preparation of session sheets.
This course alone does not entitle the trainee to a French professional card, nor does it dispense with any diploma or certificate meeting the course prerequisites.

Validation of training

At the end of the training, trainees will receive a certificate of completion
People currently in training are eligible to take this module.

Qualitative assessment of training

At the end of the course, trainees will receive a satisfaction form to measure their overall appreciation of the organization and reception conditions, the teaching skills of the trainers and the methods, resources and media used.
